Frank’s wife Jere brought home some items from his mother’s house, including two antique chairs. Krisha goes to the living room to see the chairs. Frank didn’t know that his mom used to like telling the story of how Frank bought the chairs for her in the summer after she was widowed.

Frank’s wife also brought home the puppets that Frank had as a child. They remind Krisha of some of the puppets from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Krisha didn’t react well to an attempt at puppet therapy for her ADD as a child. She was given Ritalin but finally found help by taking dance classes.

Krisha has been training to be a stage manager at the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. She finds that she really loves running the sound board at the theater.

Her intense work schedule leaves her exhausted on her one day off per week. Frank thought she slept all day because of her second vaccine shot but she said it was because of the long hours at work.

The nurse asked Frank about his “little friend” when he got his second shot. He was prepared for side effects. He took a nap and had chicken noodle soup at the ready however he had no reaction to the shot.

Krisha is wearing a Hatfield & McCoy shirt because this episode was recorded on a chilly day. Frank realizes that he should buy himself a Krisha & Frank shirt.

Frank has gotten a new roof and new gutters. The installer said that he likes putting quality gutters on customers’ “forever homes” better than putting cheaper gutters on a house that is about to go on the market. He said that Frank will die before these gutters need to be replaced.

Frank wanted to take a batch of coins to his bank but didn’t want to pay the coin-counting fee. He also wanted to avoid the coin-counting machine at the supermarket because of the fee. He read online that he could get full value for his coins if he took payment in the form of a gift card.

Frank got an Amazon gift card with the coins and used the money to buy a brush cutter. He plans to cut weeds and bushes in the backyard with the circular saw attachment. You can buy the same Roeam Electric Cordless Weed and Brush Cutter by clicking here: https://amzn.to/2QybbEr

Krisha is concerned that Frank will injure himself while using the brush cutter. She also wants him to record a video of himself using it. Krisha hopes Frank’s neighbor will act as a safety patrol while he is cutting brush.

Frank received a cemetery satisfaction survey in the mail. It has 55 questions about his experience with his mother’s burial. Krisha asks about the word columbarium, which is like a mausoleum for cremated remains.

Frank has other family members in the same area of the national cemetery as his parents. When Frank’s mom was buried, the cemetery engraved a new headstone for both his mom and dad but wouldn’t let him have the old one.

Krisha plans to record a bluegrass version of Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill. She is dating a musician who will help her with the album.

Frank gave Krisha some of his dried figs when she needed a serving of fiber. They worked faster than expected.

Krisha & Frank haven’t seen each other in two weeks but it feels longer. They did one audio-only episode and tried to record another on Saturday but Krisha had to help solve an important audio problem with an underwater speaker at the theater. Frank Googled himself while waiting to hear from Krisha.

Krisha has been working long hours at Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. She and Frank plan to post podcast episodes three days a week. The next See More Smokies episode will be posted on Saturday. The next regular podcast episode will be posted on Monday, April 26.

Frank feels like he has extra time on his hands now that he has finished recording Scholars’ Bowl episodes. One of the teams of high school students had some fun teasing Frank during their introductions. He loved it.

Some of the high school students have names that are challenging to pronounce. One student was named Krishna. A former radio boss would intentionally mispronounce Krisha’s name as Kesha, which she didn’t like.

Krisha has been working long hours at the theater. She is calling in from the parking lot between shows. The podcast recording schedule got thrown off when she was called in to work as an emergency fill-in for someone. It may take another couple of days to get back on track.

Frank has a new roof and is awaiting installation of his new gutters. The roofers had a problem when replacing the plywood over Frank’s bathroom. They accidentally broke through the ceiling. Globs of cellulose insulation covered the toilet and floor.

Frank’s grandson told him that last week’s story about his birthday present was “TMI.” Frank’s daughter revealed to him that he embarrassed her when she was young by mentioning on the radio that she listened to songs from The Sound of Music as she went to sleep.

Krisha thought she lost the key to an important cabinet at the theater. She found it in the chest pocket of her overalls. Krisha & Frank both tried to make the “plenty of room” joke. While on their joint YouTube account, Frank was shown a targeted ad for smaller women’s lingerie.

Krisha bought a car that will reliably get her to her job in Pigeon Forge. She starts to describe it in a baby-talk voice. Frank’s great-uncle Bill liked to use baby talk to get laughs. When she was a teenager, Frank’s mom chastised her uncle Bill for using baby talk in front of his children.

Krisha tries to get Frank to use baby talk but he struggles. His children and grandchildren have good diction.

Frank ordered a magic kit as a birthday gift for his grandson Artie. Frank helped him learn one of the tricks while on FaceTime. Artie performed the trick at his birthday party that evening.

Artie’s great-aunts both wanted to give him hand puppets. After some initial confusion, Frank’s daughter got it sorted out.

Frank’s new neighbor has noisy dogs. Frank heard them barking loudly at 12:30 a.m. and was tempted to text the neighbor. What should he do?

Krisha & Frank received a photo of their friend Myranda wearing a logo hoodie and a photo of Aaron wearing a logo t-shirt. Thanks you guys!

Krisha has lost some weight while working hard at Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. The 11:00 a.m. show audience eats the same chicken and potatoes meal as the nighttime audiences.

Frank and his wife went to Mass on Easter morning. Some of his Facebook friends avoid the word “Easter” and refer to it as “Resurrection Sunday” instead. Easter lasts eight days in the Catholic Church.

Frank and Jere colored eggs on Saturday. Jere made a four-colored egg. Frank scribbled on one and called it a “Jackson Pollock.” Jere suggested a topic for today by buying a bag of candy that resembles circus peanuts.

Frank went looking for rocks in his yard on Saturday. It looked like he was on an Easter egg hunt. He is placing the rocks along the property line.

Frank says he’s a bad singer and dancer but Krisha disagrees. She says he’s not as bad as he thinks he is. He was able to do some basic steps in The Nutcracker.

When she plays Ma McCoy, Krisha has a resemblance to Granny Clampett. Her boot laces got tangled and caused her to fall during a show. She stayed in character and crawled. The tech director thought she did it on purpose.

Frank and his wife have become fans of Daniel and Majella’s B&B Road Trip. The show aired on Irish television. It stars singer Daniel O’Donnell and his wife Majella. They spend 11 days traveling across Ireland, going on adventures, and staying in a bed & breakfast. Daniel is a big star in Ireland. One of the B&B owners could barely contain her excitement. Here’s a link to the UTV promo: https://youtu.be/cbLf8uJnBV8

Today is April Fool’s Day. Krisha once told her mom that there was a burn mark on her power suit. It didn’t go well. Frank recalls some dumb radio stunts.

Krisha & Frank are taking Easter weekend off. Their next show will be on Easter Tuesday, April 6. Have a happy Easter!
